Y Bülbül is the solo project of Turkish/British artist Yiğit Bülbül, currently based in London, UK. Defying easy categorisation with his music, he’s so far released three albums: “Fever” (2020) and “Not One, Not Two” (2022) LPs on the German experimental electronica label Pingipung, and “ÜÜÜ” (2024) self-released digitally. Following these releases he played festivals like Fusion Festival, Meakusma and Braille Satellite together with gigs in cities including New York, Madrid, Porto and Berlin. Some of his tracks have been played by various DJs/selectors on stations like NTS Radio and WFMU and his music was included on magazines/web sites like The Wire Magazine and Spectrum Culture. Not One, Not Two, the artist’s second LP in collaboration with Yumurta, was awarded the German Critics Award under the Experimental / Electronic category in 2023.
